On October 10th, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (Hong Kong and Macao Service) Zone in Huizhou and the Guidelines for Services for Hong Kong and Macao Residents in Huizhou were launched.

As the comprehensive window of offline services for Hong Kong and Macao in Huizhou, the zone will provide more than 300 types of integrated government services. The guidelines cover more than 40 policy and service items related to Hong Kong and Macao residents living in Huizhou, facilitating them to study, live, work, and start businesses in the city.

The zone will provide one-stop convenience services, equipped with special personnel to offer consultation and guidance on investment, employment, education, medical care, and other scenarios.

Huizhou, Hong Kong, and Macao are geographically close, popular, and economically integrated, with close social exchanges. Since the reform and opening up, a large number of enterprises from Hong Kong and Macao have come to Huizhou to invest and start businesses, providing strong support for the industrialization and urbanization of Huizhou.

According to statistics, more than 11,700 new Hong Kong-funded and Macao-funded enterprises have been established in Huizhou, accounting for more than 78% of the city's foreign-funded enterprises.

This year, the Huizhou Greater Bay Area Office, together with the Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macao Affairs Bureau of Huizhou, has worked with more than 20 municipal departments to collect the policy and service information related to Hong Kong and Macao residents and compiled it into the guidelines.

Guan Guowei, executive vice chairman of the Hong Kong Huizhou Association, often travels to Hong Kong, Huizhou, and other places. Guan said that the latest policies will help people better understand Huizhou and live there. The zone provides a good platform for Hong Kong and Macao residents in Huizhou, offering consulting services on areas such as social security, housing, and employment, which greatly facilitates enterprises and residents in Hong Kong and Macao.
