Nine New Measures from Guangzhou Immigration Inspection to Support the Development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area

Guangzhou Immigration Inspection announced nine new measures on 17 September 2019 to support the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Two specific measures beneficial to Hong Kong include the streamlining of immigration inspection procedures for ships transferring sands and gravels for the third runway project of Hong Kong International Airport, and the setting up of the green passage for fresh produce supply for Hong Kong and Macao. 105 docks and anchorages in seven cities including Guangzhou would conduct preferential inspection service for fresh produce supply for Hong Kong and Macao.
