Notice on issuing the “Implementation Measures (Trial) for Hong Kong and Macao Tour Guides and Tour Escorts practising in Hengqin New Area, Zhuhai” (Yue Ren She Gui [2019] No. 32)
Hong Kong residents with a valid Hong Kong Tour Guide Pass or Tour Escort Pass as well as a Home Return Permit may enrol in training and verification organised by the in-charge tourism department in Hengqin.
The Human Resources and Social Security Department and Culture and Tourism Department of Guangdong Province issued the “Implementation Measures (Trial) for Hong Kong and Macao Tour Guides and Tour Escorts practising in Hengqin New Area, Zhuhai” (“the Measures”) on 5 September 2019. Hong Kong residents with a valid Hong Kong Tour Guide Pass or Tour Escort Pass as well as a Home Return Permit may enrol in training and verification organised by the in-charge tourism department in Hengqin. The enrolment period is from 1 January to 31 March and from 1 August to 31 October.
Hong Kong and Macao tour guides and tour escorts who have passed the verification and obtained a tour guide licence in the Hengqin New Area may be awarded RMB 3,000. They may further be awarded RMB 20,000 and RMB 30,000 if they have guided tours for 30 days and 45 days respectively in a year.
