Notice of the Office of the People's Government of Zhuhai on Issuing the Policies and Measures to Promote the Development of the Integrated Circuit Industry in Zhuhai (Zhu Fu Ban [2020] No.13)
To promote the development of integrated circuit industry in Zhuhai and propose a number of measures to support the development of the integrated circuit industry from 6 directions. National key laboratories in Hong Kong and Macao are encouraged to set up branches in Zhuhai.
The Office of the People's Government of Zhuhai has issued policies and measures to promote the development of integrated circuit industry in Zhuhai on 15 October 2020. The notice proposes a number of measures to support the development of the integrated circuit industry from 6 directions, including supporting the establishment of industrial projects, encouraging enterprises innovation and development, supporting enterprises to form leading advantages, promoting industrial collaborative innovation, optimising the environment for industrial innovation and development and enhancing industrial space carrying ability. Among them, to encourage collaborative innovation in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, policies and measures support the transformation of scientific and technological achievements of Hong Kong and Macao in Zhuhai and provide innovative products to the market on the basis of technological achievements with independent intellectual property rights, clear target markets and good prospects for industrialisation. The measures also encourage national key laboratories in Hong Kong and Macao to set up branches in Zhuhai, and provide subsidies of up to RMB2 million to qualified branches. The policies and measures came into force from 15 October 2020 and would be valid until 31 December 2023.
