Notice from the People's Government of Guangzhou on Several Measures for Guangzhou to Accelerate the Construction of a Digital Economy Innovation Leading City (Sui Fu [2020] No.4)
To accelerate the construction of a digital economy innovation leading city, the policy has formulated 22 measures to build Guangzhou into a pilot field for digital element in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao area, a national digital core technology source and a new benchmark for global digital industry reform.
The People’s Government of Guangzhou has issued a notice on several measures for Guangzhou to accelerate the construction of a digital economy innovation leading city on 2 April 2020. In order to accelerate the construction of a digital economy innovation leading city, the policy has formulated 22 measures to build Guangzhou into a pilot field for digital element in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao area, a national digital core technology source and a new benchmark for global digital industry reform. The measures propose to strengthen the synergy within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, including the implementation of cross-border open sharing and security management of data between Guangzhou, Hong Kong and Macao in certain areas of Guangzhou and to facilitate the flow of cross-border capital and trade logistics among the three places. Moreover, the measures also proposed to strengthen the cooperation between Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area in the field of digital creativity and introduce a group of international top digital reative teams and enterprises. The measures came into force on 2 April 2020 and would be valid until 2 April 2023.
