Guangdong fosters the manufacturing sector further and strives to build a trillion-level biomedicine and health industry cluster by 2027

As an important component of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and one of the world's important manufacturing bases, Guangdong has a solid industrial foundation and complete supporting capabilities. In 2023, the added value of Guangdong's industry and manufacturing industry reached RMB 4.87 trillion and RMB 4.44 trillion respectively, accounting for about one-eighth of the country. If Guangdong was regarded as an independent economy, the scale of Guangdong's manufacturing industry will be equivalent to the fifth in the world.

Guangdong's manufacturing industry cluster development system is being enhanced day by day, and the buildings of 20-major industrial clusters have been accelerated. Strategic pillar industries such as new generation electronic information, green petrochemicals, smart home appliances, and automobile industries are leading in the country; Emerging industries such as integrated circuits, industrial machinery, new energy vehicles, and new energy storage industries continue to grow. The comprehensive regional innovation capabilities of Guangdong have ranked first in the country for 7 consecutive years. Guangdong strives to build a trillion-level biomedicine and health industry cluster by the end of 2027. Currently, Guangdong is formulating relevant policies to promote the development of the yacht industry, which will focus on improving the quality of the yacht manufacturing, promoting breakthrough policies for yacht in GBA, improving the construction of yacht tourism infrastructure, creating new styles for yacht tourism, and improving safety supervision and management quality.
